In 1979 I did not know Hebrew, I learned it in HaMorah Idit's Kitah Aleph. Idit killed a snake in the children's house with a "gumi" one time. Her husband was away in the army a lot. Later I went to some other kibbutzim and finished other ulpan programs, I finished college in America and then I was in Kibbutz Merom Golan, 1982. Then I was in the IDF for 2 years, and then I came back to America and went to law school at night while working as a computer operator in the day. I'm married with 2 sons who are graduate students now. Hi I worked on the kibbutz 1961( aged 21) for 9 months- fantastic experience. I befriended a kibbutz member, married with one small child, who was very good at table tennis. We played a lot and he invited me to play for the kibbutz in a match. I was not so good but we won the match. Is he still there, aged about 70 to 80.
